St. James’s Episcopal Church, West Hartford
In Praise of Music is the Hall Choirs’ first concert of the year and will feature six outstanding solo or duet performances selected through the audition process.
December 21 at 7:00 PM
Hall High School Auditorium
Pay It Forward is a benefit concert supporting Hands On Hartford, a local nonprofit organization that assists members of our community facing food insecurity, housing challenges, and other basic needs.
This concert gives Hall Choir students an opportunity to use their talents to give back to the community and help those who are less fortunate.
Students may audition for one or both concerts.
After the audition deadline, Doc will send all audition videos to an adjudication team. Each performance will be independently scored. Doc will then compile the scores and rank the performances from highest to lowest.
The top six performances will be featured at the In Praise of Music Concert. Performers for Pay It Forward will be selected from the remaining applicants.
Each student may be selected to perform in only one of the two concerts and may perform in only one solo or duet.
In Praise of Music: Students selected to perform must provide piano sheet music so that live accompaniment can be provided.
Pay It Forward: Students must provide either a recorded accompaniment or their own live accompanist. An accompanist will not be provided for this concert.
